6 Reasons Why You Should Use WordPress

Monday, September 30, 2013

WordPress started way back on 2003 as a blogging tool and now it is widely used not just for blogging but also for creating websites. And the good thing here is that this is an open source platform, meaning you can download it for FREE!

Now here are few of the many reasons why you should use WordPress:

1. User friendly.

As I am not a programmer myself, I really find WordPress as a user friendly template, by just looking at the dashboard you can easily specify where to add things up. From adding a new pages, posts, blogs, images or links are indeed easy to learn. You can just drag and drop most of the items and it has a simplified CMS(Content Management System).

2. Search Engine Friendly.

WordPress was created with a simple and clean code thus making it easy for search engines to read and index the site. You may also optimize your site by using an SEO plugin such as All in One SEO Pack. Plugins are like add-ons that will help improve your site, most of the plugins are free.

3. Saves Time and Money.

Since WordPress has more of a drag and drop functionality it simply saves you time in structuring your blog or website. When WordPress has an update your site will also be updated and you can automatically update it and again it's for FREE. Since this is a free template you can simply download this and use it immediately, basically WordPress alone saves you money.

4. Mobile View Friendly.

If you will be using the default theme of WordPress then no need to worry about using another site for your mobile users. Since WordPress has the ability to recognize if you are viewing using web browsers or you are using mobile device. It simply adopts to what you are using without you worrying the output of your site.

5. You Can Have Multiple Users.

If you are the admin of the site then you have the control to create different users with their perspective access level. If you have multiple users no need to worry about duplication of work. Since if someone is editing a post or page and another user would want to do the same he/she will be inform that someone is working on that specific topic.

6. Manage Your Site Anytime Anywhere.

You can actually edit or add posts anytime anywhere as long as there is an internet connection and a browser, then for sure you can update your site.
