Then we have Drop Box, Google Drive and Sky Drive but whenever we use these tools we are force to register or signup for us to use their services. Now there has been a newly developed web application where you don't need to register just to access the application.
OneTimeBox
OneTimeBox is a new website that offers public data storage, where anyone can access files without even having an account. User can just easily use their service such as creating a disposable storage box, upload and delete some files. There's no need to invite people just to have access to the folder, as long as they have the unique URL then they will have a full access to the shared folder. Anyone who have a copy of the URL has a full control to the files such as the permission to delete files. Definitely no hustle and bustle that you need to deal with when it comes to sharing some of the files that needs to be shared within your group.
OneTimeBox has been powered by Meteor.js, created at HackMIT and this has been built by Oliver. Source code is available in Github.
How to Use OneTimeBox?
Go to their website OneTimeBox. Then click Create your Box.
Drop or drag the files to the uploading area.
Once done uploading the files, you will see the unique link which you can share to other people who needs to update the shared folder.
When you open the link you could still find the same interface where you can still upload more and more files or download the uploaded files or even delete it if you want.
That was easy and a very user friendly web app interface, you can definitely use it if you want to collaborate with some people for a certain project or what not. Just be sure that you have a backup of the important files, since anyone in your group can do something with files that were uploaded. Enjoy.
