It has been a very important thing when attending a function such as meeting to have a slideshow for our presentations. It's a conventional way to use slides to point things out and explain every bit of topics to the listeners. However, not all software that provides a slideshow tool is actually free. Let's take Microsoft's PowerPoint for example, it is definitely a good tool to create a presentation but you should also pay for it, that's quite a reality.
But why go any further if it is also available with Google, its not that Google is giving away with Microsoft's own PowerPoint. But Google Drive also offers their very own Google Drive's Presentation, it's main function is basically similar with PowerPoint but there's one big difference, it's for FREE.
As we all know we could just use one account to access every product that Google offers, it makes it even more convenient to user.
So how do we start creating a Google Drive Presentation?
1.Go to Google Drive(assuming user is already logged in).
2. Create a new Presentation, click on Create button at the left side of the screen, and choose for Presentation.
3. First thing that would pop up would be this message, regarding the slideshow theme that user would be using. Together with this is Google Drive Presentations new update with widescreen, where there would be more space for more text or images. This option can also be change by going to File then Page Setup, it could also be customize by clicking on Customize, also its up to the user how wide would be the scope of every page.
4. Another Google's Drive Presentation upgrade is having a master slide, where user only needs to edit one page and basically it would apply to the rest of the slides. No need to go on every pages just to change a thing. This can be done by clicking on Slide then Edit Master then a thumbnail will show where user can see the changes.
5. If there is a need to put a logo in every page of the slide then all we have to do is just edit the Master slide, add it up to the Master Slide and it is then visible to every pages. User can set whether the header in every page is Bold, it simply made it easier to edit Presentation. Even the background color could be change easily.
6. For animation just hit Transition button and an Animations box would appear at the right side corner of your screen, where you may change the type of effects. And the good thing here is that you can have a preview of the effect by just hitting Play button.
These are just few of the amazing features of Google Drive Presentation, and what makes it great is that they keep on customizing to improve their product. The upgrade with widescreen presentation and editable master slide might be a minor upgrade but it made a big impact in making our jobs with slideshow simplified.
