How to Maximize Your Bookmark Toolbar Space

Tuesday, September 24, 2013

There are tons of interesting articles and stuff on the internet and most of the time you would want to keep the links so that you could check for updates. But can we really keep all of those links?

Thanks to Bookmark and it has been easy for us to save the links that we would want to keep. But it would also bring clutter on our bookmark toolbar especially when there are many links that we want to save. So here are some ways we could do to lessen our jammed bookmark toolbar.

1. You can use Pin Tabs.

When you use the Pin Tab, the tabs shrinks as of the size of their icon. This works also like a bookmark the difference is that the site has already been opened so whenever you close the browser its rest assured that the link has been save. The thing here is that whenever you open the browser the pin tabbed site would also load at the same time.

Right click to the tab, then hit Pin tab.

The name of the tab would be remove and the icon would show.

2. You may also Minimize your bookmark icons.

You may do this by not saving the name or the title of the site. In this way the favicon would be your tool in identifying which site you would want to open. And if a certain site doesn't have any favicon you may also add an add on known as I hate your favicon.

3. The most obvious and the most common thing to do is to create a folder where you can group your bookmarks according to their category.

This would surely save you from space in your bookmark bar. And thus it would be much easier in your part to locate the saved link by browsing through your folders.

Right click on the empty space in your bookmark toolbar. Then select Add folder.

Then you can just choose to which folder you want to add the new bookmark.

4. You may also use add ons in your browser, there are many add ons you can choose for Chrome or Firefox.

All you have to do is to install it on your browser and you're good to go.

Just like the One Tab for Chrome. This would convert all of your tabs into a list, so whenever you would want to open a certain site that you have visited, you would just refer to One tab.

There could be more ways in doing this and these are just few of the things you can do to have a not so jammed bookmark toolbar. You may also share the things that you have done to have an organized bookmark, just comment below.
