Facebook has been very powerful in social media. I, personally own an account and I open it religiously daily.

It has been known to everyone that facebook is actually tracking its users by using different applications to track our online activities.

This indeed is their way of putting adds that suits their users. So its all business after all.

But if your the type of person who doesn't want someone stalking you then this might help you in some ways.

So here are few things we can do to stop Facebook from tracking our online activities:

1. You may use Facebook Privacy List for Adblock Plus, knowing that you already have installer Adblock Plus(available for Chrome and Mozilla). You can download it and add it up to Adblock Plus to stop Facebook plugins and script and it would also include those Like button when visiting other sites.

2, You may also use plugins or known as extensions for browsers. This is available for Chrome which is called Facebook Disconnect and add-on in Mozilla (Facebook Disconnect 2.1.3). This would help you that if you are visiting other website they won't recognize you and use your information through facebook. It simply prevent cookies in your system in tracking your online activities. Disconnect doesn't only apply in Facebook, its functionality is also applicable in Yahoo, Digg, Google and Twitter. It would block your search history or information to those third part site that you are visiting. And the good thing here is that this is definitely FREE!

3. Cookie Editing. This is not the food that I'm referring rather I'm referring to an extension. This is called Edit this Cookie from Chrome and Edit Cookies from Firefox. The thing with these add-ons is that it won't block block every cookie that it encounters rather its your choice which cookies are allowed. Basically you need to customize the cookies that you intend to allow in your browser. It may take a while so that you can customize it but it's worth a try if you are really willing to block those cookies that annoys you.

If you're not a techy person then you might need to research more about this things but it won't take that much of your time since everything that you needed is just a click away. And if you're really that eager to secure more of your information then this is worth a try.
