Endless Love (2014) Review: A Romantic Date for Valentines

Thursday, February 13, 2014

Starring Gabriella Wilde(Jade Butterfield) and David Elliot (Alex Pettyfer). A melodramatic, demure, teenage like love story. Back when your still young and vulnerable of the sweetness of first love that your willing to give up everything, ohhh those days.

It was not that good however it’s not that bad either. It’s surprisingly cute movie but I wasn’t expecting it to be a teenager love story because of its quite revealing trailer. Trailers are indeed deceiving.

Endless love is not a boring movie but it doesn’t have many highlights either. As far as I could remember the scenes which I could consider as the highlights or the climax is in the part when part of their house is burning, when Alex found Jades father(Bruce Greenwood) kissing other woman and when Jade and Alex are having their teenage kissing scenes. Not bad for a romantic drama movie.

Endless Love (2014) Lessons Learned

What I like about the movie is having this lesson about parents to have an open communication with their children and moving on; these are two things that made a mark on me after watching this movie. Communication can indeed make a difference with ones relationship to the other. Especially the parents and children relationship, it’s very important to hear out your kids about their thoughts and feelings to help them justify whether they are on the right track or not. That is the most important role of the parents and that’s to guide their kids.

And the other one is moving on, in this movie Jades father is caught up with his loss of his eldest son and wasn’t able to save him even if he’s his doctor. Mourning is fine but holding too long of it would just result to a detrimental life. So rather than being stuck from the past why not forgive yourself and try to live a life for you and the ones who loves you so much.

So if you feel like your love life is on the rocks or humdrum routine then why not try this movie. Just take some break and entertain yourself or selves with a movie that reminds us that once in a while it’s nice to be teenager. Feeling free, reckless and knows how to fight for love when we know it’s worth fighting for, but of course always weigh things before making any big decisions.

So go ahead and have a happy Valentines Day!
