Backup Your Pictures in Social Networking Sites Using PictureLife

Monday, October 14, 2013

Do you have a picture in your Facebook, Instagram or Google+ account? That's a silly question, of course you have. It has been very common to young people or adults today to have their own "selfie" moments. Selfie is self-portrait taken with your digital cameras or smart phones.

If unluckily you weren't able to reach your dream to become a supermodel at least you can still pose with your very own Instagram account. Everyone is actually doing it, taking tons and tons of pictures in just a matter of hours, I guess. Some say it purely narcissism and some say it is their outlet for self-expression. Whatever the reason is it doesn't really matter as long you are not promoting pornographic features with your own images.

But when users uploaded thousands or even millions of pictures in their social media accounts, then few questions would come in mind. What if one day these sites would shut down or just accidentally deleted your five hundred albums in your Facebook account? Or your computer just suddenly crash and there's no way to recover your saved images? No backup at all, what should we do?

Then why wait for that day to come if there is a web app that would let you sync images from these social networking sites, basically this would serve as your backup file from different social media accounts.

PictureLife is a web app that would let you store your videos and pictures to their cloud drive. This would enable users to access their storage whenever and wherever they go. What makes it more interesting is that PictureLife can be sync with social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter or Google+.

How does PictureLife works:

First things first visit their website PictureLife.com and create an account.

Then Download the application to a specific location, it depends on you where to save it. Just click Install.

If this message will appear just click on Continue.

The service that PictureLife is offering is not totally free, but there is a starting FREE space which is 5GB and that would be around 2,000 pictures. It may also be upgraded depending on your needs, 100GB for $7 a month or 300GB for $15 a month.

It is also possible to sync folders from your computer to PictureLife, just choose which folder would that be.

Then another message would appear, you can simply continue or just skip the tour at the moment.

Hit that Continue button and you're done.

This would be the PictureLife Dashboard, which has a user friendly interface.

To sync PictureLife to different social networking sites hit Settings button at the top left most corner of the dashboard and click on Settings.

You will then be redirected to this page, just hit on Networks.

These would be the possible networks that can be synced to PictureLife such as Facebook, Google, Flickr and many more, just hit on Connect and more options will be shown.

Now this would be the look of different images that has been stored from a social networking site that has been synced to PictureLife, looks great.

So the next time your computer crashes no need to worry since everything has already been backed up, thanks to PictureLife. Why not try it yourself, they are still giving away 5GB space for FREE, enjoy.
